Squier Stratocaster Silver Series. Second-hand. Made in Japan circa '87-'89.Modifications:- A switch to change between regular 'Strat' mode,
- Having the Bridge pickup in series with whatever is selected on the five-way switch.
Some of you may recall in the dim and distant past, the project that brought me here was a modification to my Squier Strat. The mod isn't 100% 'finished.' There are a few kinks to iron out, like the lack of treble bleed capacitors at the moment. Please visit the thread to find out more and solve all my problems for me. However, other than hitches of that magnitude, the bloody guitar's finished.
Here's some pictures.
The combination of foil and spray glue should be illegal in the interests of national health.
It stands for, 'Getting Ready, Nothing Done.'
Diagnosis: your insides are being shredded by Heavy Metal Poisoning.
My wiring skills. George Carlin said it: 'They do get better.'
Insulating the wire, or at least protecting it from myself.
Before the great first test.
After the great first test. That's the main cavity insulated with electrical tape to prevent shorts on the shielding.
Two push/push pots. Left: Bridge volume, 'solo' switch. Centre: Neck and Middle volume, 'series' switch. Right: concentric tone controls. The top one is for the bridge, the bottom the neck and middle.
NSFW.
I should have sound samples appearing soon, when my mic is returned to me. In the meantime, feel free to ask questions and request more specific pics.

Ah, a little late! ;D
Looks great! Would you consider switching to a w/b/w pickguard, then mailing it to my address?
