This is my first post, sorry if I put it in the wrong place. Wolf drew me a custom schematic for a flying V project I'm doing. It's got two four-conductor humbuckers, two volume and one tone pots, a master series parallel and two coil splits for the humbuckers. I wired it up yesterday and the switches seem to work, but I don't get any signal from the neck p'up. Wolf recomended i check the schem with the forum. mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=5819702ba8&view=att&th=12fb78dca6502584&attid=0.1&disp=inline&zw

Well then, I'll post it myself. It is a re-worked drawing of my version of the Jimmy Page wiring. Since it was designed for just one tone control, the "Neck Tone" should actually be labeled "Master Tone".

I don't see anything wrong with that scheme except that it's dead when the S/P switch is pulled and the toggle is switched toward the neck.

I concur with Ash's assessment. If there is no sound from the neck pickup whatsoever, even with the series switch set to parallel, then you have either a wiring issue or a component issue. If it works except for the issue Ash noted, you may want to consider the following: JohnH's redo of the Jimmy Page wiring solves the issue of needing to have the pickup selector switch set to the middle or bridge position in order to get the series setting to work, by having the S/P switch bypass the selector when in series mode: JH's JPI'm not seeing that; looks to me that it only operates in the parallel setting and then only on the neck pickup. In series mode, the bridge volume acts as a master volume and the tone and neck volume are disconnected (assuming the pickup switch is set to either Bridge or Center positions, otherwise there's nothing as noted).

Okay here's a redrawing for the Jimmy Page wiring with a master tone. Yes, this still goes dead when the pickup switch is in the neck position when it is switched to series mode. I was aware of this. This is similar to the drawing I have had on my web page for two years. Here's a link to the many times we've discussed the Jimmy Page wiring: guitarnuts2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wiring&action=display&thread=4510&page=1It has some suggestions for eliminating the "dead spot" and maybe I'll follow one of those.
