This is too cool not to share...... I really liked cynical1's sound samples, so I downloaded them & imported them into a ProTools session. I isolated the neck series part and from there I separated each chord strum into its own region. After some cutting & pasting, & repeating I was able to fashion it into a rhythm guitar track, with a few verses, a bridge, a verse, then out. Then I played a simple guitar melody, & with the help of my trusty Roland GR-20, played a simple sax melody. I didn't spend a lot of time getting the measures exactly correct, or editing the parts to any degree; I just mixed it up real quick, put in on my soundclick page and shot a PM to c1- just for laughs...... Well, I had an email this morning that someone on soundclick liked it enough to add it to her station- & I can't tell y'all how tickled I am about the whole thing. So with no further ado, here's our own cynical1's world debut on the six string- Project One-lpf3

I was really surprised and humbled that lpf3 was able to make something out of my random ramblings. I am always amazed at how talented this guy is.
+1 for making something out of nothing.
Imagine...playing guitar for a week after 30 years away from it...and only knowing 8 chords and I'm in a song on the Internet... Well, if Kurt Cobain could make a career out of 8 chords, maybe there's hope for me yet...
Thanks lpf3.
Happy Trails

First..... c1, as usual, as understated his case. May we all learn to be so humble, regardless of whether one is the judge, or the judged. ~!~!~!~ And a big hats off to lpf3, not for his musical accomplishments, but for linking correctly to his Soundclick player. Without that, I was stuck in can't-play-that-ville. Thanks to that page, I was able to dissect the code thereupon, learn what had to be bypassed by my filters*, and was then able to go back and listen to what c1 had first posted, then what lpf3 heaped upon the top of that. Sometimes in ain't easy, protectin' one's self from the big, bad Innerwebs..... Nice job in both cases, man - two +1's for you, just because. Oh, and yes, a +1 to c1, just for completing his project, well before his Procrastinator's Club card was due to expire. ;D sumgai * As usual, some codeorangutan sold a boss on the idea of using a javascript to replace a simple object/embed tag. a holes.
