Hi folks, just thought it might be useful for me to post some pictures of my soldering/wiring skills (or lack of them possibly... ) - I have done a few guitar wiring jobs over about the past couple of years, at the beginning of which I was a complete novice in terms of electronics and practical wiring/soldering. My knowledge of electronics is still pretty limited, and has some massive holes I'm sure - the soldering has got better with practice, though I still feel I may not be doing things quite in the "approved way" (whatever that is...). Anyway, I've just finished wiring John H's "Strat SP" circuit for a strat build project (waiting for the other parts to arrive now!), so thought I'd put up some pics of the job for you all to look at - any comments or advice gratefully received, and thanks for your time, cheers!

megi-
Your soldering looks fine. But, please, either downsize those pics or run them vertically rather than horizontally as we now have to scroll horizontally to see them.
Thanks!

Apologies newey - post ammended, hope that's working better now? For some reason on my computer they were scrolling vertically anyway so I didn't realise the problem.

Thanks, much better now! We try to avoid horizontal scrolling, not everyone uses a widescreen monitor.

Excellent neat work there megi, nice shiny joins and even insulation where needed and you have kept the super-switch wiring nice a low so everything should fit in ok and not 'short' which is a fault of many a wire.
If by chance the switch does 'bottom out' into a shielded cavity, for precautions sake, it can be a good idea to cover that area under it with a bit of PVC tape or similar just in case...well, I've found.
Great work, well done

Cheers guys, I guess I'm OK how I do things then - probably I just wanted to know that the results I'm getting look something like those you would expect for a circuit like this. I do try to keep things as neat as I can -so having a "spaghetti junction" of wires like this in the control cavity is not unusual?
I'm very keen to find out how it sounds too John - I'll be sure to post again when I get to that point.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I just thought I'd show you the other side of the pickguard, for what it's worth!
