I put the neck on one side of the blender and the bridge on the other side so with the 5 way set to neck I can bring in the bridge and with the 5 way set to bridge I can bring in the neck. That's probably the best way to have it wired. The pot seems to be lowering the volume of the one pup as it raises the volume of the other pup though. That surprises me. I wouldn't expect a loss in volume, just a change in tone.

Well,I'll have a good play around with it but on first impressions it sounds more like a volume change to me.

What do you know,I bought a used PRS SE Standard and haven't picked the Squier up since. Still, the results were good. The Ironstone pups are brilliant clean which is the only way I played them so far with a wonderful tone that matches the sounds I hear on £1,000 American Fenders in the shops,no BS. The blend and tone pot all work as wanted although I think I will remove the neck pup from the blend at the next string change. I'm also going to take the HB out and go to the full set of Ironstones so I guess I'm going to have to look for another guitar to put the Artic HB in. I will give the guitar a good few hours and have a play about with various sounds soon so I'll add that in here if anyone's still interested Thanks guys for all said,it did help me and after that really quite simple job I'm not going to be so reserved about messing with my guitar electrics again.

I will. I've had a full agenda lately what with x-mas and all but things may slow down for a week or two now and give me time to breath.
