I'm looking around & researching for a bridge pup that fits in a HB slot without any woodwork, but is not a HB. I've got a 2 HB gtr that I'm going to keep a HB in the neck but try to get a good Tele style SC in the bridge. Im going to use one of those pup ring adaptors to set it in the HB slot. (I hope) I want something good but different so I searched for "custom pickups" Has anyone tried Klein pups? (No I do not work for them or even own one yet) The Fat Man Tele bridge seems like a perfect match with a HB in the neck. At 10k it's even hotter than my HB! www.kleinpickups.com/p-38-fat-man-tele-pickups.aspx

So you're looking for a good Tele-style bridge pickup ...
I haven't tried the pickup you're looking at but I am keen on the Tonerider "Hot Classic" set for a build I am planning. They're not very expensive and the set I have in my Canora 335 is beautiful! They also make a "Rebel 90" which is a P-90 in a full-sized humbucker package. Could be worth a look. Won't sound quite like an actual P-90 (and definitely not like a Tele) though (the cover and baseplate differences alone will change the character of it).
What do you want it to do, though? More character? Articulation? Compression? Raw output? Mids? Highs?

Bill Lawrence's Wilde L-290 series stacked noise free Tele bridge pickup. You can e-mail Bill or Becky, tell them what you've got in the neck, what you want out of the bridge and they'll recommend one of the 4 offerings in that line. For $52.00 direct you can't beat it with a stick. Happy Trails Cynical One

From what I read ,he's in bad health so I'm not even going to bug them with an email. I've only read good reviews & I can't beat a price like that. My only problem wil be making an order for only one pup.

BTW The neck pup I'm using is an Ibanez Super 58. It's an alnico 3 & about 8K. I guess it's a PAF type. Not as well know but these are one the company got right.

You may also want to check out the Gibson P94t, Kent Armstrong P-90 humbucker or the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat. I realize that these are neither Tele style nor tele-sounding but they are single coils and they will fit a humbucker slot without any extra parts.

Not so sure about the sound your looking for but try looking into either ther dream 90's or the mean 90's at www.guitarfetish.com for around $37 it couldn't hurt to take a look.there hb sized p-90's they from what I've read on gfs have german silver baseplates and alnico v magnets in them. The mean 90's are wound with 42 awg wiring . I'm temped to pull the trigger on a set of em myself.

from what I've read on gfs have german silver baseplates I hope you know there is no silver in "german silver". The mean 90's are wound with 42 awg wiring . 42 awg is pretty much the standard for most pickups.
