Hello and Good Day!
I'm an absolute fan of the neck+bridge blend pot modification on my strat. Now that I have a spare push-pull pot lying around, I'm wondering if I can use it in place of the regular pot, then use the push-pull function to toggle the blend pot between parallel and series modes.
Though I can follow a wiring layout, I'm electronically and schematically challenged, so I apologize if my question seems silly or impossible.
I usually modify a regular pot myself to make it into a no-load for blend use. Looking at the push-pull, it doesn't look like I can safely do the same to it. But I'm curious just the same if this combination is possible, even without the no-load and some pickup bleed over.
If this topic has been take up elsewhere, I likewise apologize and ask you to bear with me and kindly provide me with an appropriate link thereto.
Blend pots in series and parallel have been a major subject of study in the Tonemonster thread, which is one or two pages down from here. Check it out. Making it work evenly and consistently in series and parallel is tricky. I currently have a design built with on/offs for each of three pups, a phase, and an overall series/parallel switch. The blend pot is a dual gang version which seems to work. You can see the schematic on the thread in several versions
