Anyone own them, tried them, heard them? I was thinking about buying one of these as the "NEMESIS" model sounds great. It's a Humbucker that utilizes Both Pole and Rail. Sounds great actually. Your thoughts....

Well, son-o had some info on the sound of the noiseless 57s. No one tried the Nemesis, so nothing directly to help you.
After mine wouldn't fit into the Yamaha, my set is still looking for a project.

Yeah, I saw that Newey. That kinda bites. When I first started reading that thread I was excited to see you had chimed in. I was really hoping to see what you thought about them. I searched, and searched and found a few videos on you tube. The cheapest model was x2. They sound really nice from what I heard but had some sort of tone mod. Then I found the video of the "NEMESIS". Nice clean, but way to "Metal" for me distorted. I then came across the "Darkstar". Nice clean, but made for metal and you can tell when it is actually distorted. The best I ahve found that I may roll with is the HVX for my neck, and bridge & a HDN for my center position. Yup this is for my project. The buckers I have are nice in sound but not feeling the gold on the green. Looks ok, but a constant reminder that Saint patty's day is around the corner. I also went to the link (The one you mentioned in the thread). Which was EY. The prices are nice, compared to some of the other dealers linked directly as dealers on the actual Entwistle site. The dealer (Whom I wont name a link to) Is selling one pick up for the price of what EY sells for a set. (The american way, I suppose to make a buck) Anyways, I dig the tone....They will fit nicely in my project. I am not a lover of heavy bass tone in a pick-up in low E. I love highs and mids. These will be perfect for me. Maybe if anyone reading this wants to have a listen of some demo's they can be found on youtube "or" better yet. I love the last one. It is the cheapest pick-up.

The thing about the EY parts that you have to factor in is that the direct shipping costs from China get pretty expensive if you get a lot of stuff, which is tempting given their selection of nominally inexpensive parts. SonoSunny recorded a nice little diddy with a neck PUP Entwistle XS 62N (last post on that page): guitarnuts2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=repair&action=display&thread=5974The XS62N is a neodymium magnet single coil. The were very smooth, perhaps a little elevated in the midrange. They were not too sparkly so some might not like their only vague reference to Fender single coils. However for the application on that particular guitar they were nearly perfect. Not as thick as a neck humbucker, but not as thin as typical single coils. But we don't have any on the Ent-humbuckers.

I think there are UK based retailers for those pups, and they are pretty cheap, didn't compare tho. I am aiming at those UK-sellers when the time will come for my neck noiseless ASN 57.!
