HB in Neck Tele Hi, need a little help if possible on this tele build. Client asked for some specific stuff. The build has a HB in the neck position with the pole pieces on the PU turned towards the bridge for a tad more treble response. The Bridge has a SC. N pup 7.4k w/ AL 5 B pup 7k w/ AL 2 I am including my layout. I seem to recall a variant ( but cannot locate it ) that has this setup using 500k pots for T & V. I am looking at how to tame the treble response on the SC with a bleed off R. I have tried various comboes to no avail . I like the 500k combo on the pots for the HB but its a tad bright for the SC. The V/T/Switch arrangement is flipped so that the V knob is closer to the pick hand.

In theory, if you hard-wire a 250k resistor (or nearest standard value 270k), directly across the ground and hot wires of the bridge pickup, it will make it sound like its has two 250k pots instead of two 500k pots. Or, if the tone pot us reduced to about 6 or 7, it should sound similar.

Thanks JohnH, I thought so and tried that but my ears are not hearing a big change ( my high end hearing is not what it used to be ). I'll try agin and close up the cavity and give a thorough test. Thanks Like this ---
