hi, i'm new and coming from france i have ask on differents french discussion but no respons so i try here. i bought a st pro scorpion without eletronics in it so i have to do it myself. i start by shearshing a link about it finaly i found this schematic: if shema 1 is not visible this is the link:http://www.guitarsite.com/hotlicks/about4614.html at home i my case i found a dimarzzio evo2 for the bridge, a seymour duncan sh 1 twang banger for middle, and gfs hum hotrail like for neck, a tone and 3switchs on/on. the little mod hohner vbs desappear and dont exist in the futur schema.
i want to put the two humbucker on a master volume push pull to switch them in simple if it needed. so i dont know if i have to put the 3 miniswitch between the volume and the tone or if i can stay like schema 1. if some one can make an wiring diagram with colors i'll be glad
thanks for yours respons i hope my english would be good enougth to bee understand....

Wellsir, I fixed the first image link for you. The second was exactly the same, and they were both pointing at a .html web page at the GuitarSite forum. I grabbed the image from the first post, hope that's what you were shooting for.
I'm afraid I'm not completely sure I understand exactly what you're asking for, though. I understand that english is not your first language, but maybe you could try and clarify. Je lis un peu de francais aussi.
Your English is certainly better than my grade-school French.
But let me try to decipher what it is you want. Here's what I got from your post, correct me point-by-point if I get this wrong:
You have this Hohner guitar without any electronics. You want to wire it as an HSH-style, with a twin rails HB in the neck
You want to use a push/pull potentiometer for a master volume control. The switch is to be used to switch both the neck HB and the bridge HB to single-coil operation (i.e., a coil-cut switch). You did not mention if you already have the P/P pot yet, or not, as it wasn't listed with the other parts you found to use.
Whatever the Hohner VBS-1 unit was (probably a preamp), it is gone and you won't be using that in your new wiring
You want to use 3 On-On switches to switch the individual pickups on/off. This will be done as per the diagram you posted.
There will be a master tone control
To answer what I think is the question you ask at the end of your post, if you are going to use the P/P pot to cut a coil from each of the HBs, you will wire the P/P switch to the "series junction" of each HB. This wiring is completely separate from the volume and tone controls, so you can wire the on-on switches as per the diagram.
If this is what you want, it is feasible to do and we can certainly work up a diagram. Since you are using 3 different brands of pickups, we'll have to correlate wire colors between the different brands.
thanks ashcatlt for the picture it' s the good one.
in respons to newey it 's exactly what i want to do and i 've got the master volume push-pull. if i 've understand the end of your post i have to put the wire of the two hb on the pushpull and after that doing like the shematic upstair ?
if i 've understand the end of your post i have to put the wire of the two hb on the pushpull and after that doing like the shematic upstair ?
Each of the HBs has 4 wires. One is wired to the switch, another goes to the ground, and the two wires in the middle are soldered together. It is that middle connection, the two wires soldered together, that will be wired to the P/P switch.
I will be happy to do a diagram for you, but it will be next week before I can do it, because I will be out of town for several days and won't have internet access.
ok the gfs have green+ white- for the first coil the second have black+ red- for second coil and a bare, i should to look at this the dimarzio red+ green- for first coil and black+ white- for second seymour white+ black -
witch wire i have to put on meedle of the push pull and wich wire on switch i will try thanks a lot for your help and dont care for diagram i m going to do one and try it. i will give you the result and post the good one after if you have not the time. i never sleep more than 4 hours per day.

hi i try this : so the dimarzio is ok but the gfs is on simple coil, and when i pull it past on 2coil what have i to reverse? and no sound from the seymour , his switch is a on/off/on i probably make some mistakes so thanks to corrected me
but the gfs is on simple coil, and when i pull it past on 2coil what have i to reverse?
Sorry, your English on that part is not understandable. To correct a problem with the GFS pickup, please tell us exactly what you are getting in each of the 4 possible switch positions (P/P and on-on).
The middle SD pickup is a bit tougher to decipher as you have used a different switch. It should work in at least one position of the switch, though. You may have a bad connection there. Or perhaps the switch is bad- did you test it first?
hi i saw that i have orgoten the black wire on the diagram for gfs but not on the guitare. result of the test
1) all switch up no sound it's normal 2) 1er switch for gfs turn down, sound like if it was split, when i pull on the volume normal sound as humbeker. 3) 2d swith up and down, nothing no sound ; the swich is ok but will try with on/on i have to buy one. i test all the position with the wire but nothing. some of the position make sound other coil higher, some else cut the sound.... 4) 3rd switch the dimazzio work correctely
for the gfs if i dont find solution i will try to put it // or reversephasei have to see the sound before. for the sd if the top of the coil touch my string it's sound so is there a ground problem.

for the sd it's ok now the wires of gfs goes in the cage of the sd then it cannot touch the ground i put a wire directly to the coil to the ground in his cage and it sound... stay the first problem... by it's 4am i have to sleep i m working in 4hours thanks for your help.
