I'm trying to install an optical theremin in a Les Paul copy. This started off as a simple experiment and I thought I could wire it up with no problems. This is what I have going on. I have the pickups and the theremin wired to an SPDT toggle switch. I obviously did a poor job of wiring it because not only is there some VERY bad humming, but I can only get the neck pickup to work. So, basically, I need help figuring out how to get both pickups and the theremin wired to the SPDT toggle correctly so that they both work. I also need some advice on things I can do to reduce the hum. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
We'll need you to post a diagram of how you have this wired, or perhaps some well-focused pictures to show the wiring.
The theremin may well be inducing hum itself, and the toggle may be a separate problem. But there's no way to tell much about it without knowing how you have this wired, as well as the type of theremin and its associated circuitry.
