Hello Forum, I am new to this forum and hoping to get some help on this. I have a pair of Dimarzio Evolution DP158 and DP159 on my Jackson Dinky. I have a 3 way switch (8 poles in a straight row), 1 vol, 1 tone control. Just purchased a 500k Push pull knob. I am trying to achieve a fender type single coil tone out of it! is this possible? please suggest me with a wiring diagram and the capacitors I should use. both pick up has 4 wires (red, green, black and white) and a bare ground. I would greatly appreciate if you can elaborate the connection step by step. THank you in advance! Moe.

moe- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!First, a question: Are the black and white wires of your pickups connected to the three-way switch? Or, are those two wires connected together on each pickup, and (probably) taped off? If the two wires are connected to anything except each other, report back. If those two wires are just connected together, then this diagram gives you the basic idea of how to do this. This will cut both pickups to single coil operation simultaneously, and will give you opposite coils (i.e., one slug coil and one screw coil, assuming that's what these pickups have). By cutting to opposite coils, the combined coil-cut position will be hum-cancelling. Ask questions as needed.
