Hi, my Carvin DC135's floyd is one of the pivot screw type vs the newer bushing/stud type. I noticed lately that it has developed a gap at the rear side of the hole. Because of that the screw has developed a small angle towards the strings-side. Should i just try to fix this, or upgrade to bushing/studs?

Had to fix it with toothpicks and wood glue. No time for proper bushings(inserts) and studs. Final result much much better, much better tuning stability.

Sorry no one got back to you on this, GD. But I don't know squat about FR bridges. You may be the only regular here who uses one, so I think that's why you heard crickets.

That's OK,i try to update the thread to include all progress so that future readers can learn smth. If the current fix fails then i will go for the bushings/studs solution and report back. Provided i have no NGD coming in the meantime!
