I know that a couple of folks around here have expressed interest in the Jag style guitars over at GuitarFetish. Right now might be a great time to get a feel for one. They have an XV-JT60 in natural ash finish in their "Luthier Special" section for just $125 because "3-way Switch doesn't work. Replacement needed. Very small scratches over paint. (backside)", which sounds to me like a steal! Especially for a GuitarNut who's likely to rewire the thing anyway. It is HH with "PAF" style pickups, but for this price I think you could grab a pair of their "Jazzmaster" style pickups, or a couple soapbars, or whatever and still be ahead of the game. I have the fixed-tail tele-hybrid version of this guitar and am very happy with the way it plays, feels, sounds. The ash body is extremely light, but the fit and finish are superb. It shipped ready to rock, except that the strings were way too light for me. Took nothing to get it set up beautifully for my preferred 11s, though. I'd grab this thing myself, except I just can't justify it.

...And now they're having their big fall sale thing, with a coupon code to take 10% more off of this thing. It's at a point where it's almost too good to pass up, except I really just can't justify the expense right now. Will one of you please buy the thing so it can stop tempting me?!?

Ash, Good find. Unfortunately, I don't believe I would not be able to justify another fiddle purchase to the misses. Especially since I just bought new speakers for the living room. If only there was a site that sold spa packages or handbags er something as a front. "Hey baby, I just bought you a $189 spa package. Oh this, that's just the free guitar that came with your spa treatment."
