Sorry I didn't start this post with the build but at the time I was working on it so sporadically, I wasn't sure I would ever get to really dig in. So I got a killer deal on thick slabs of Mahogany from a flooring guy who was goin out of business. As some of you know, Im not a traditional tone wood guy, but the deal was done...Decided on American Cherry top. Pick up and wiring routs done before the glue up.

Glued the top, and finished the neck pocket. Nice tight fit, will have to plane the top down about 1/8 looks like.. Got a great Rabetting bit set for Christmas from my Father in Law.

Very pretty and very clean looking. You have come a long way since you first got here. Seems like a nice fit at the neck pocket since the neck is just sitting there with a pressure fit only, right?
Keep the pictures coming. I have a few projects of my own that will be starting up soon, and I need to get some pictures, too.
Nice. What else do you do besides Telecasters?
Happy Trails

Thanks, yeah its just pressure fit in that pic. I am currently collecting materials for a firebird build. I also hang curtains for my wife, and usually get them level within the first 5 trys.

A Firebird....cool.
I got around the whole curtain thing by claiming a fear of heights. Worked so far.

That's the best excuse I've ever heard, hands down.

For some reason, this was a very stressful part to this build. I read up on how to build this cavity cover and got to it.
Lotsa trimming and sanding to get the template perfect
It paid off, a perfect fit.

You need square brackets each side of "img" and "/img" and you only need the url where the image is located. The url should fit between the first and last pairs of square brackets. (should "brackets" read as "parentheses"?)

Looks like your not using a direct URL, but some scripted URL. I can't see Photobucket images at work, so I'll play with it tonight and see if I can fix it.

Just curious, but are you going to do the reliefs and belly cuts on this body?

I do have a belly cut planned for this one, and bind the top.
