I would like to share my personal Strat wiring that I soldered into my Warmoth Super Strat. The special thing about this wiring is the On-On-On mini switch that switches the Middle PU either parallel, in series or off to the rest. There's a phase switch for the Middle PU and a coil split for the humbucker to get even more tonal possibilitys (at least 36 different sounds) Apart from Middle PU alone every standard combination is switchable. It turned out pretty intuitive. I left out the pots because I have an active tone control in it's place but it should be clear how to wire it passive. There is one pole of the Superswitch which isn't connected to anything yet. You could do whatever you like with it like adding caps in parallel with the pickups or skip the push pull pot for coil splitting and wire an auto split to the switch or you simply wire two tone pots like the standard Strat has. Let me know what you think about it!

Hi Mr Lime, thanks for posting that.
I like how there is a very useful selection of tones just on the 5 way, then you can go from there to extend the tines with the other switches. So what have you found to be the most interesting of the non-standard settings?
Also, given that you have built it so we know it works, feel free to post it in our schematics section as well, if you want to.

I think my favorite none-standard settings are NxB 1/2 OoP with M in parallel and N+B with M in series. Those two combinations sound pretty balanced and compareable to somewhat like a humbucker alone. Great for Blues and Hard Rock riffs.. I hardly use the middle PU but it's nice to switch it parallel to the neck PU for clean sounds. Here's a pic of my strat: Neck PU is a SSL-6 which can be tapped with the PP pot that splits the humbucker. Bridge PU is a TB-4 with AlNiCo8 magnet, a real beast. Lots of useful and not-so-useful sounds but I really like the N/B combinations which can't be found in a normal strat.. Still not sure what I could do with the unused part of the 5 way switch. I think about adding a 33n cap in parallel with position 2 to scoop some mids..

I'm pretty late to the show but I have a question.
Am I right in thinking that in Positions 2, 4 and 5 with the HB split, the middle series position won't function?

Yeah, you're absolutly right, the split switch grounds the signal of the middle PU in series. Here's a layout with an other splitting method bypassing the northern coil, this will give you the middle PU in series with every position of the 5 way switch when the HB is splited. This was a small change during soldering which I already came across which was solved in seconds but I forgot to update the layout here, so thank you very much for your eagle eye! Here's the improved version:
