Here's my favorite wiring that turned out to be very intuitive and super flexible in one of my strats. The special thing about this wiring is the On-On-On mini switch that switches the middle PU either parallel, in series or off to the rest. There's a phase switch for the Middle PU and a coil split for the humbucker to get even more tonal possibilitys (at least 36 different sounds) Apart from Middle PU alone every standard combination is switchable. There is one pole of the Superswitch which isn't connected to anything yet. You could do whatever you like with it like adding caps in parallel with the pickups or skip the push pull pot for coil splitting and wire an auto split to the switch or you simply wire two tone pots like the standard Strat has. I would add a 33n cap parallel in position 2 to scoop some mids. Just solder the cap on the second free lug and connect it to ground. For those of you that doesn't want a miniswitch in the pickguard I draw another wiring with a PP-pot and a blend pot instead to archive similar results. This wouldn't change the look of your strat at all but gives you lots of new sounds which are very useful imo. In series mode the middle PU can be mixed from off to full series with the rest of the 5 way switch. In parallel mode it's always on which is some sort of compromise in terms of intuition but the settings of the original wiring are still all there (left the HB split away). At least here's a version with two humbuckers as used in some Jackson, Charvel, Kramer or Ibanez guitars. This version is drawn without a phase switch for those who do not want to use any PP pots. Auto split of the bridge PU in position 2 and 4. The south coil of the neck PU is wired just like the middle PU of the original wiring. Of course you can mix the ideas together if someone needs help just call me.
