I was curious if there is a full blown dedicated speaker forum (not a home stereo speaker, a guitar speaker speaker) that a person can research speaker data and info?
I have some speakers with no model or make name, just numbers stamped on the basket and also some on the speaker material...and I am very curious what their heritage is?
Any suggestions?

gerbilnutz-
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
No websites that I'm aware of just for guitar speakers. If there's no brand name on them, they're probably the OEM speakers from whoever made the amp they were put into. That doesn't really tell you anything, since the amp manufacturer probably wasn't making their own speakers, but having them made to order.
If the speakers were made by any of the big aftermarket manufacturers such as Eminence, Jensen, Celestion or the like, they would probably be marked as such, since those brand names provide a selling point. Although I note that many of Fender's OEM speakers aren't marked as to maker, so that may not always be true.

Thank you, sire!
These are in a homemade combo amp that was fairly well made and the speakers seem above average in quality, nice large magnets and well made baskets, so I am motivated to find out what the history on them is.

Again, with just numbers and no name, I'd suspect they were OEM speakers of some sort, otherwise they'd have a name on them. But I acknowledge that doesn't help much!

I'm pretty much with newey on this one. If you can't pull up a hit on the Internet for your speaker's stamped part number, even tossing in a manufacturer, like Celestion, Eminence, or whatever...then it's a safe bet they're OEM speakers from God only knows what. It doesn't make them bad, just a mystery.

ro(a)die,
See my reply in your introductory thread, found in The Coffee Shop.
In essence, Google is your friend. Search on "EIA speaker codes", and see what happens.
