I thought this should be on the "Effects" board, but it's wiring, so it could be here. I've never tried anything with effects before, and want to start with something simple, like an a/b box, or a loop selector. I drew this simple circuit, but i don't know if it would be grounded properly, or if i should have the switch after the input, or before the output. Sugestions? Is it wrong? Have i made a complete arse of myself? Jim

Perhaps the switch should be between the input and send/returns instead of in between the send/returns and the output. Take for instance a delay pedal... with your current setup, your guitar's signal would be going to both your effects chains at once. If you switched from chain A with no delay to chain B with a delay, then you'd be getting the delayed signals still from stuff you'd played before you intended the switch... also, unless I'm mistaken, some bad things can happen to your signal integrity if you split it like that without some sort of powered amplification, but I could easily be wrong.

I had the idea that the switch was in the wrong place. I'm either going to do that, or an a/b box like this.. I'm sure an a/b box would be more useful to me, I've done it so that when one is selected, the other is grounded, to stop that "unplugged lead" sound. I think that would work. Jim
