www.amazon.com/Fender-Pure-Vintage-Strat-Pickup/dp/B00I3XGDVQFender no longer lists this product on their website, so I linked to Amazon instead. This set features AlNiCo 3 pickups, and they read a particularly low flux density, around 500 gauss, whereas 600 gauss tends to be more typical for AlNiCo 3. The 2.6H inductance and 3.85kHz loaded resonant peaks means this set is in between "Texas Special" hot and vintage output 57/62's. I suspected that this set was probably very much like the Fender 60th Anniversary set, which was said to be a limited run. Based on this data, it looks like they are exactly the same. They both have unloaded peaks right around 8.65kHz, loaded peaks around 3.85kHz, and DC resistances within 100 ohms of 6.0k ohms. The only apparent difference is that the 60th Anniversary set had chamfered pole pieces, and these ones are sharp. The G poles on both sets are also a bit lower than "vintage correct". I have also measured the Pure Vintage 59 and 65 sets, and found sone oddities with these sets that might owe to manufacturing issues, so I'm hesitant to use them as a basis for comparison, but Fender published 2.6H inductance for the '59 and '65 set, and I measured 2.6H inductance for this set, so in terms of the most important metric, inductance, all three sets are essentially identical, aside from cosmetics, and the AlNiCo 3 of the '56 set producing only half the flux density of the other two sets. Based on a test I conducted with the 60th Anniversaries, if you lower the Pure Vintage '59 or '65 about three millimeters further away from the strings, the flux density should drop to an amount that is roughly equivalent to that of the AlNiCo 3 poles at the original height.
