2 humbuckers 2 Tele singlecoils 2vol 2tone 6 Switches?

  ok I have an old Gibson L6-S 1973 or around there , and it has a doozie of a setup
Im hoping someone can shed some light on what this has going on..

I got the guitar with just the pick guard . no pickups installed . the switches and pots were there ..
so what im wondering is what all these switches were meant do and how the heck to wire them up?
do i make the switches just on/off for each pickup? i dont know , havent seen anything like this before ..
if anyone has any ideas or maybe seen this kind of mod before ,i would love to hear from ya

Hello and welcome to GN2.
That L6s model was a famously unusual guitar with relatively complex switching. But so far as I know, it only had two humbuckers, with various seriex, parallel and phase switching.

But with those extra pickups that yours had, it suggests some serious modding has happened. Its hard to tell what was intended, but I think it gives you an incentive to redo it all either to something that appeals to you or back to stock, depending what floats your boat.

If you decide to rewire this as a stock L6-s, we've had some extensive discussion of this wiring from about 10 years ago. If you use the search function for the phrase "L6-S", you'll pull up those discussions. Unfortunately, we've undoubtedly lost the images,including the schematics, due to the photobucket debacle. But wiring diagrams are out there on the web. Gibson's website's archives probably have the diagram.

OTOH, if you've decide to rewire it entirely, we can help with that as well. We'll need to know your goals.
