To Whom It May Concern, I have spent the better half of an hour (or two) trying to figure out whether or not Deaf-Eddie is truly a "guitar-whako" as he states, let me elaborate: Follow the link below to his website. www.deaf-eddie.net/index.htmlUpon arrival you will see "Deaf-Eddies Custom Wiring Mods". Next you will see (scroll down a bit), "New for Double Strats...". Below is the link that should (cross fingers) get you directly to the diagram in question. A Double-FAT Strat scheme to get the PRS pup combos:www.deaf-eddie.net/drawings/dbl-fat-prs.jpgI BELIEVE THIS DIAGRAM TO BE WRONG...COMPLETELY AND ENTIRELY. Try it for yourself. ON PAPER, analyze EVERY position and see what you get. Be careful with the information given. Note, he is using Seymour Duncan color codes and he is using a Stewmac Super Switch 4-Pole, 5-Way Lever Action Pickup Selector. If you need info on the superswitch, here is the link: www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/I-3200.htmlIf you need info on Seymour Duncans pickups and color codes, here is the link: www.seymourduncan.com/support/faqdescr.shtml#installtoolsPlease, if anybody can verify (or de-rail) my findings, let me and the guitar community know. I am not making sweeping accusations against Mr. Deaf-Eddie but I believe (in general) that there are many websites that contain many WRONG schematics. Thanks for the input and feedbacK

I can't make sense of that stuff no matter who draws it, but it sounds like you can. Do you think you could tell us what you see happening in his diagram? Give us a prediction for positions 1-5.
Also, he emphasized that fact that the diagram is viewed from the BACK of the pickguard, if that makes any difference.

Hmmm.
Well his options are..
1. Neck 2. Inner coils parallel 3: Outer coils series 4: Outer coils parallel 5: Bridge
The way I see it, it's..
1. Neck 2. Outer coils series 3. Neck's inner coil and bridge's outer coil parallel 4. Neck's outer coil and bridge's inner coil parallel 5. Bridge
I'm probably wrong, I'm not sure about SD color codes and shunting.

Fenleo, welcome to Guitarnuts2. i am neither a moderator, nor a censor. i will say that the "wrong, completely and entirely" statement is pretty strong, especially given that you haven't cited any particulars of HOW it's wrong. can we get you to elaborate? thanks, unklmickey
