I keep forgetting, sorry.
I've emailed him twice since this thread went up, and so far, no response. I guess it's time for Alexander Graham Bell's device to take up the cause.
Please stand by........

I don't know that's happened to him. I've called and left mesages, but so far, no call back or anything else to indicate that he's heard me.
In May, we're going down to Portland for something else anyways. If he hasn't quit the Ryp Van Winkle act by then, I'll drop in and see what's what.

It took a while for the swelling in the left eye to go down enough after sumgai dropped by to check if I was still among the living...but I'm now able see well enough to logon and advise I''m still hanging on to the mortal coil. It's been a long year or so, but things are starting to turn around.
I'll be back to check up on the volumes of things I've missed in my absence, but now I need to get some ice for the right eye...

Good to hear c1 is still kickin around. I'm very disappointed I never got down to the farm when it was only a state away rather than half a continent.

Well pleased to hear that you're back in the saddle C1. Kudos to GD for flagging up your absence too, although I'm sure it would have been noticed sooner or later...

Well, it's been a long strange trip...but I'm back in Chicago again.
My absence of late has been largely due to the health of my 91 year old mother and just trying to make a living in the PNW. (Pacific Northwest or Probably Nowhere, depending on your perspective) The last year has been a blur trying to manage her care and affairs, but hopefully now that I'm back in Chicago things will be easier to manage. Hope spring eternal.
I may be drifting in and out for a while, but at least I'm still above ground...and my socks are starting to dry out...
Happy Trails

c1, I sincerely hope that your mama makes it alright for years to come.
The rest o' yers, I've met the lady, and it's absolutely no wonder c1 is the way he is. Talk about the chestnut falling not very far from the tree.... She had me pegged from about 1/3rd second after she met me for the first time. Snappy, that's all I can say.
c1 (again), So, what about the rest of the family? I have it on good authority that open paddocks are mighty hard to come by in the City Of The Hawk. Stay tuned, brother, stay in tune! sumgai

Ahhh...the horses. They made the trip a few days before the wife and I. They currently share a pasture with a few draft horses, but they're a lot happier there than in a stall. We haven't had a chance to go up and see them since we got here, but I have it on good authority that the hay is good and freely available. They'll miss the apple trees, but what are you gonna do...
The move is a story in itself. Once I get settled and can type without putting the keyboard on my lap I may relate the tale...high point being when the wheel came off of the auto transport trailer in Perry, Utah...
But all are healthy and well. We had to leave a lot of stuff behind, but you'll all be glad to know that all of the guitars, basses, amps, cabinets and W.I.P. projects made it. A small fact I have neglected to pass on to my darling bride heretofore...
