I have the LG head/cabinet. I replaced the speaker with a swamp thang 8ohm, if I want to connect to an external speaker (most likely never will) I assume it must be 4ohm? At the time I couldn't pass up the deal on a used swamp thang and couldn't find any used 16ohm speakers. I connected to the 8ohm connection on the back of the head.
Thanks

hello and welcome to our humble little forum two eight ohm speakers in parallel would provide a load of four ohms, so you would want to use the 4 ohm tap from your output transformer

OK. If using only the 8ohm in the BH112 cabinet I use the 8ohm tap on the head and if connecting to another 8ohm cabinet I use the 4ohm tap.
Thanks, I just wanted to me sure.
I also have a Fender SuperChamp X2 head with matching cabinet. I'm selling it and will stick with my LG. I changed the power tube to Sovtec EL84M, and V1 to 12AY7. Believe it or not I can turn it up almost all the way and no breakup occurs. For me with a few pedals I can dial in about any sound plus have a clean tone for loud if if need it. I read about the Russian Sovtec on a forum somewhere and had to try it. The post said it may or may not breakup wide open and with the swamp thang I get very little speaker breakup. I prefer tube breakup vs speaker. For me this little amp fits the bill better than anything else I have tried. I have 2 friends that try and buy it from me constantly.
