Is the change from 'time elapsed' to 'post date stamp' a Gnut change or a global ProBoards change? I found that time elapsed was much more convenient if not logged in (a quick scan of the thread list last post time would (pretty much) tell me what was new and was not, and know how far back to go if I had visited recently. Of course, the time stamp view is not much help to those who live in different time zone to the forum default. Even with members (who are logged in), time elapsed is more convenient as many of them will not have adjusted their time zone settings (they probably do not know that the feature even exists). Anyway, any chance of this being reverted to time elapsed again?

I voted for Elapsed Time. The deal is, after 24 hours, the D/T stamp changes over from Elapsed to Posted time anyway. When I do a Reply, I like to see how long it's been since a question was asked, or a mistake had been made that needs addressing. Not that it was absolutely necessary to know this datum, but it's kinda nice to know that I'm not way out there on a limb, that I'm responding in a timely fashion. Not having to do arithmetic in my head first, that's a "Plus 1" in my book.
While I could just change it back, that just goes against my personal grain. Instead, I'm more interested in two things: A) how do my fellow Nutz feel about this; and B) I don't want anybody to think that I'm gonna jump up and down in my jack-boots all over another Staff member for taking/showing some initiative - that wold be Bad Ju-Ju of the highest order.
Even if reTrEaD gets voted down on this idea, he's got a noggin-ful of more stuff to try out. I'd lay long odds that The NutzHouse will come out all the better for his efforts. Thanks, reTrEaD!

I reckon I'll leave it this way for a week or so and then we can decide. I'm in favor of keeping it, but it really isn't that big of a deal for me. I won't miss it terribly if we choose to go back to stock.
I've been a bit bold on introducing some of this, but I think that's okay. It's easy enough to return to stock and it does give us all a chance to see it. At least that's my take on it.
