I've got a guitar in for service and there is some corrosion to the alnico magnets. The top plates on the coils are lifting slightly as well. Pickups are out of production and I'm not sure if there is an appropriate commercial replament. Yes i'm goign to do a full analysis and have a go, I want a set in my hardtail Ibanez S, but I'd like to prevent these from giving up the ghost. Unlike strat coils the magents are flush with the flatwork, so there's not a lot of wiggle room. I'm not too concerned about the visible corrosion, but if they are like that inside eventually this will lead to coil damage.
These have been wax potted so laquer potting isn't going to happen and I'm not sure it's particularly safe to dip back in the hot wax.
Thoughts?

Id say that if its wax potted already, then there's nothing more that need or should or could be done.
