Hello!
I'd like to know if anyone here was able to come up with a good solution on how to properly wire a guitar with an active and passive pickups.
I have an HSS guitar.
I want the HB Bridge to be active using EMG active pickups. I want the Neck and Mid S S to be passive.
I think there will be a mismatch with the pots values.
How can it be done properly?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

There's a few possibilities. Best if they each feed to their own pots, then switched to the output without mixing them. If you need to mix them, then Id suggest building a small active buffer for the passive pickups, then blending between two active outputs.
What kind of switch / mix options do you want?

Thanks for the reply JohnH. I just want a standard 5-way switch HSS wiring wherein the H is an active pickup. Do you have sample builds/design of a small active buffer for the passive pickups? Thank you!

Wont work like that you must have a active/passive switch also because they all share the same ground wire. Plus if your battery goes bad, the passive wont work either. I believe??? ( without a a/b switch). Its easier to check a switch if it goes out. Safer. Less parts.
