Anyone got a brief overview of wire?
the stuff I’m using just now is twice as thick as I need . it’s the strand stuff you twist together , but had some of the expensive stuff years ago with the cloth stuff you push back

Use AWG22 -Cloth Pushback -PVC -Silicon -Shielded Make sure it’s AWG22 - I’ve used AWG24 before. Personal favorites are Pushback and Silicon.

The higher the number, the smaller the wire. So, 24 gauge is smaller than 22 gauge. I think you’d be fine with 22AWG but I suppose you could use 24AWG. There’s hardly any current pumping through those wires. 22AWG is the standard. Get yourself a decent 30-40 watt soldering iron. Those work just fine. Use a little bit of solder and remember your connection wires between the lugs can be longer. They don’t have to be tiny short little things. Cut them so your hands can really deal with holding and soldering them. Try 22 or 24AWG. I really think you’ll be okay.

I would have bought the wrong size thinking It was smaller Ok, yeah, I’m sure 22AWG is the standard for good reason.
