No opinion on the SS-1, never used those. But if you really like the Fender 57/62s, you can DIY a RWRP middle. You will need a compass (a cheap toy one will suffice) and a fairly powerful neodymium magnet. There are tutorials on the web showing how to do this, basically you find whether the coil is north or south with the compass, then find the opposite pole for the magnet, and apply the magnet to each pole piece (opposites attract and all that) for a few seconds, then double-check with the compass that the magnet has been repolarized.
Then you simply reverse the wiring of the middle pickup, this takes care of the "RW" part of the equation.
Just remember to keep that magnet away from the other pickups, other guitars, or any hard drives, USB drives, etc. Since you have to reverse the wiring anyway, it's probably safer to disconnect the middle pickup and remove it from the guitar prior to remagnetizing the pole pieces.

Hello Cem, What did you finally.? To Change the Magnet Polarity is the most Simple, > with Neodymium Magnets: -Commanded on the Net, > I'd done it 2 times ('cause the 2 1st dyed: hurting each other & where destroyed.. so you've to take care) & got 2 to Charge the New Rod-Magnets: = 'cause when you Bye them, they're Not Charged.. - You have to Ask them on a Chinese or Japanese site.. - Then, Not to Rewind the Pickup: > Just Inverse the Electrical sides, = Inside Black Wire (on Left) to + = & 0utside Wire White or Yellow to - - That's All: your Middle is RW/RP.! Then you Get No Buzz for Neck/Mid & Bridge/Mid: = 'cause they're in // (6+6k = 3k) > But Lot of People Forget than in Serie mode: 6+6k = 12k.. > For Bridge & Mid 0nly.. - Tell us what you finally did.. & 0thers interested: If they try to do this, really Cheapper to do Yourself, & not have to Bye an 0ther pu. - Bye, Ziggy (France, 3h44)
