Hi! I have this little wiring problem. I have three Seymour Duncan pickups an so on. Setup is this. -Coolrail in neck position - VintageRai in the middle - Hotrail in bridge -5 way switch -Volume (push/pull for splitting) -two Tones So i want to split the neck and bridge pickups. The VintageRail i cant split..if i do so, everything works fine but it only use half on half pickup. What i need from wiring is that the neck and bridge can be splitted(?) and the middle pickup is normal. Volume is for all and one tone for neck pickup and other tone is for middle and bridge picup. I hope that someon get's that idea what i mean Is that even possible to to do whit these components? Thanks!

tomppa- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!What you want to do is certainly possible with the components you have. All of your wiring will be exactly the same as any standard Strat diagram, except that you will wire the tone controls for the neck and Br/middle instead of for neck and middle. Let us know if you have questions as to how to do that. The only other change is the coil split switch on the Vol pot push/pull. You will wire that switch like this: A couple of things to note. Since all pickups are SD, the wire colors should all be the same and we need not worry about phase issues. Ideally, you would want to split the Neck HB to one coil (either North or South), and the bridge coil to the opposite coil, so the the N + Br combo will be hum-cancelling when split. Sometimes with regular HBs, people may want to split to a specific coil, screw or slug, but since these are rail-type pickups it won't matter much which coils we split, so long as you get one North and one South. So, I did not address which coil was which in my diagram. We can do so if it matters to you. Note that the wiring to the push/pull switch is completely separate from the wiring of the volume pot, so I omitted that (other than the one red wire which connects from the switch to the Vol. pot, other than that the pot's wiring is the same as any other Strat).

The P/P itself shows how to translate from my diagram to your switch. C1 and C2 are the common lugs; these are the middle lugs in my diagram. C1 connects to either lug 1 or 2; C2 connects to either lug 3 or 4.

I didn't understand that you were having a problem, just that you were questioning how to wire this up. What problems are you having?
