Hi Ive purchased a cheap wesley jaguar copy off ebay for all my sins. Im in the process of rewiring/shielding/new pickups to the guitar. The guitar has three s/c pickups, 5 way switch and one volume and one tone control. How do I modify it for the star grounding as I want to minimize hum as much as possible. I have shielded the cavity and pickguard with foil. If someone could do me a quick diagram it would be much appreciated cus im totally flumoxed. Thanks very much

t, Hi, and to the forums! There's more to it than just a quick diagram. Fortunately for all of us, someone has made a whole page about how to do what you're asking, with lots of diagrams and pictures. The exact page you want to visit is: Quieting the Beast (This is the one that PollysHero referred to in the above post.) Good luck, and keep us posted! sumgai

Hi
Thanks. Ive read through the quieting the beast quite a few times. Do i just omit the last tone control and all wires to it as its not there on my guitar?
Cheers

t, Sounds like a plan to me!
Yep, you can eliminate that second tone pot circuitry, he's showing it as if the whole thing were stock. If you've removed it for your personal mods, don't worry, the QtB method doesn't require that you put it back! ;D
