Hi Fellers, I know I’ve put up a couple of Bass wirings in the last week or so; but, I just put this 2 control for 2 pickups in a Glarry GP and had to share it. Hope I’ve not already done so. This is one of my favorite two control harnesses using two mini Concentrics. It allows the bassist to select from two tones on a non detented pot. The difference between the values of 33nF and 56nF seem to be loved by every bassist I have put this harness in for. The non-detented blend concentric gives superior pickup nuancing. For a two control harness, I think this is the most powerful. When I make one of these, I do a smd treble bleed as a space saver. That’s a little “tip” if you are working with a tight control cavity. I typically don’t use ceramics but for a treble bleed, I figure it’s okay. For those that want to try it out, a 1206 smd is the perfect size. Although I used an 0805 resistor. I find they “fit” together nicely. No worries on most pots of they touching a shielded cavity. The lip between the shaft and the pot body are sufficient to keep the two apart. I’ve used the smd method on a variety of pots.
