Sorry, joelorigo, but I moved your thread here, as it wasn't about guitar wiring.
Sorry, I have no ideas on the speaker. I'd say let your ears be the test, if it sounds good don't worry about it.

Definitely not certain but the basket stamping looks like they were made by Eminence. I dunno how you would research what model they are or when they were made, though.

Of course, sorry about that. They do sound good, I am just wondering 2 things specially. What is the wattage and how would they compare to the Jensen C10Q. I have the C12Q in my Deluxe Reverb and I like it.

appears close to www.eminence.com/pdf/Legend_1028K.pdf except for the higher resonant frequency. quite possibly an oem eminence model (or sample of a pre-production oem model). hopefully they'll get back to you but as previously stated, if it sounds good it is good. some of my favorite speakers are organ pull speakers from "less reputable" manufacturers (like the pre-cheap car audio pyle 10" speakers. they take a pounding) unlike your jensen C speakers, this has an alnico rather than ceramic magnet, if that means anything to you

However are you saying just from the photo I posted you can tell it is an alnico magnet?

I could contact Eminence and see if the number 3598 means anything. I bought this cab in 2005 or 2006 so it might be an old model. That sounds like a good plan. These speakers might be very old. Maybe from the '70s.

Understood. However are you saying just from the photo I posted you can tell it is an alnico magnet? yes lookup pictures of c12q vs p12q, key in on the magnet area for what it's worth the magnet on your speaker in question appears larger than the eminence datasheet i linked so *may* have slightly higher power handling, although seeing "10-3598" on a speaker sample i'd be willing to wager that it breaks down to 10" speaker 35W power handling 98db (1W/1m) sensitivity. just an educated guess but i'm excited to hear what eminence has to say. love their drivers

D'oh! I forgot to post the response I got from Eminence. They replied fast.
"It looks like an early sample driver we made for some OEM customer. I have been here since 1997 and I have never seen us use a label like that, but that is our style of sample number for sure and the motor and frame look like one of ours. By looking at the params on the label, it is easy to tell it is a guitar speaker, 8 ohm, 20-30 watts."
And regarding the 10-3598 number being a code for a 10" speaker 35W power handling 98db:
"That is possible, but then it would not be from us."
