I was wondering if someone might be able to provide me with a schematic to wire a 5 way rotary switch like this one: static.zoovy.com/img/guitarelectronics/-/swr51d_500with 3 pickups like a standard strat style wiring. 1-B 2-B+M 3-M 4-M+N 5-N I know this is pretty simple compared to some of the questions I have asked in the past. Thanks.

Well,
It is simple. You need a two pole, 5 position switch for the pickups, and one additional pole for the tone controls unless you wire them directly across each pickup. The traditional Strat tone control wiring would require one across the neck pickup, and one across the middle pickup. Alternately, wire the one across the bridge instead of the middle.
The poles go like this:
Pole 1, to top lug of volume pot. 1. Bridge hot 2. Bridge hot 3. None 4. Neck hot 5. Neck hot
Pole 2, to top lug of volume pot. 1. None 2. Middle hot 3. Middle hot 4. Middle hot 5. None
If you use a 6 position, you can get this:
Pole 1, to top lug of volume pot. 1. Bridge hot 2. Bridge hot 3. None 4. Neck hot 5. Neck hot 6. Neck hot
Pole 2, to top lug of volume pot. 1. None 2. Middle hot 3. Middle hot 4. Middle hot 5. None 6. Bridge hot
This gives the Tele Neck and Bridge combo also. A clever sort would see that one can put any desired combo in any available position.
All return leads from the pickups (the non-hot lead) go to common (the bottom lug on the volume pot).

Thanks!
I really need to slow down on the building aspect and spend some more time on playing with wiring schemes.

Just take out a good brain aneurysm insurance policy (WIRING DEMENTIA IS A DISEASE). hope that insurance policy is up to date Chris! doesn't look like a full burst, but you might be leaking, just a little bit. ...If you use a 6 pole, you can get this: .... i think you meant to say "6 position". but that's ok, we understood from the rest of the text. unk
