This is part 2 of my effort to find and fix issues with a headless tremolo bridge system on Aliexpress (also sold by eBay and Amazon). Mine said it was "Alnicov" on the box, but it's really pretty generic and may go by other names as wel. Part one was this post tremolo-vibrato-headless-locking-solution and about the string locks on the headstock. For part 2 the big reveal is that for the main guts of the tremolo, the paucity of mounting holes for the tuners leave a big gap in the middle of the adjustment range. My solution was to add more mounting screw holes so the saddles could slide all the way (depending on which hole they were mounted to) across the tremolo plate. There was a fair amount of study and design work, to line things up before drilling and tapping could commence. The tap is an M3.
