Hi,
I would like to rewire my Yamaha super strat HSH - 5 way switch to obtain the pickups possibilities as shown below:
I use Seymour Duncan pickups. Was thinking using 1 volume push/pull and 1 tone push/pull... But don't know where to start.
Thanks in advance if any solutions.

mormugao-
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
To do this will require a Superswitch (or its equivalent). How is the guitar wired now, and what sort of switch does it have?
Also, while the "Tone knob up" selections make perfect sense, the order of selections with the knob "down" seems odd. Typically, one would want the neck and bridge HBs at either end of the switch, with the N + B HB setting in the middle, at position 3. Is what you show the order you want?

For now i have a 5 ways switch fender style.
The order of pickup with PushPull down should be like this:
Do you think there is any solution without a superswitch ??
Thanks in advance

The schematic you posted is for Seymore Duncan's "P-Rails" pickups, apparently. It doesn't split the humbucker coils in the way that you want to do so. What this scheme does is:
5-way switch gives you Bridge pickup/Bridge + Middle/Middle Pickup/Neck + Middle/ Neck, that is, the regular Strat switching.
With the V and T push/pulls "down" (i.e., lower lugs on diagram are connected), you would have the "rail" coils alone, with the P-90 coils off (but hanging from hot). This would depend on the position of the 5-way switch, i.e., in the "neck" position of the 5-way you'd have the neck rail coil, in the bridge position the bridge rail coil, etc.
With both push/pulls "up", You'd have the P-90 coils alone, again, depending on the 5-way position.
With the V push/pull "up" and the T Push/pull "down", you'd have the HB rail and P-90 coils in series; with the switches opposite, the HBs are in parallel.
This scheme would work the same if used with regular humbuckers instead of the P-rails, and it would give you most of what you want, but it doesn't have the N + B setting you want, and to get the various split-coil settings will mean manipulating 3 separate switches. To do exactly what you want will require a Superswitch or its equivalent.

I found an old Toni Abasi wiring for DIMarzio Passive pickup and tried to adapt to Seymour Duncan one. Could you check and approve the diagram below ??
Its almost doing what i m looking for.

The diagram checks out fine. It uses a Superswitch. If you're going to get a Superswitch to use, I think you can have exactly what you want, no need to compromise.

mormugao PM'd me regarding a schematic I did in this thread: I need help with HSH super switch wiringNotesSuperSwitch Poles:- Always
- HH mode
- Tail of Neck South coil
- SSS mode
[/ol] [/ul] Superswitch Throws:Bridge ← 5 4 3 2 1 → Neck
I don't have the time right now to address this but if one of you nuts has the time to create a wiring diagram, that would be useful. - He'd like to see a complete wiring diagram going all the way to the output jack. - It should have the HBs with Seymour Duncan color codes. - The Superswitch should be oriented with the #1 throws nearest the top of the page and the #5 throws nearest the bottom. - The push-pull should be drawn as being on the tone pot.

After checking my electric cavity on the Yamaha RGX 641 D, it looks it too small to fit a Super Switch inside.
So i went for a standard 5 position fender switch in and did this wiring to get:
- 5 standard position
- 5 Coil Splitting position with a Push/Push on Tone pot
- 2 more position on the position 4 and 5 on switch with a Push/Push on volume pot
Diagram as below:
DIAGRAM by Breja Tone Work - link
All sounds very good.
If it helps some.
Cheers

You should double-check which coils are actually active in the various switch positions, as your chart doesn't match what your diagram is showing. Your chart of the active coils shows the 2 HBs being split to one coil with the tone pot P/P "up" and split to the opposite coil when "down". But that is not consistent with the diagram you show for your final wiring.
What you should actually be getting with the last wiring scheme you show is as follows:
With both P/Ps down:
1) Bridge HB 2) Bridge HB + Middle 3) Middle 4) Middle + Neck HB 5) Neck HB
With the tone P/P (coil split) switch pulled up, vol. P/P down:
1) Bridge N coil 2) Bridge N coil + middle 3) Middle 4) Neck N coil + middle 5) neck N coil
With the volume P/P Up ("Bridge-on" switch-only affects positions 4 and 5)and tone P/P down:
4) Neck HB + middle + bridge HB 5) Neck HB + bridge HB
With the Vol P/P Up and tone P/P up:
4) Neck N coil + middle + Bridge N coil 5) Neck N coil + Bridge N coil

I'm coming in late and stumbled on this thread. That desired setup is as Gibson Nighthawks with HSH, 5-way, 1 Volume & 1 push/pull Tone. The idea there was: Tone Knob Down makes 5-way switch positions 1-3 mimic a Les Paul 3-way toggle. Position 4 provides HSS Strat position 2 option. Position 5 gives you the Tele position 2 bridge and neck single coil. Tone Knob Up gives you all five SSS Strat sounds. Basic info: uniqueguitar.blogspot.com/2018/08/the-gibson-nighthawk-very-unique-gutiar.htmlLet me know if you're still interested and I'll pull a control cover and see if I can decode wiring or upload a diagram.
