Not my normal area
But i wonder if there was any other springs you can uses for the tremolo so have a softer spring near the bass end of the strings just wondering what the differences would make as tend to pull from one corner

I believe (not sure) that on some tremolo systems which have multiple springs, their tension can be adjusted. Need to experiment and let us know!

tension can be adjusted based on how many springs you place and how you place them (also by how far you screw the claw into the cavity). you generally want more tension on the bass side of the block than the treble side because those strings are going to pull more

I guess making the spring shorter (dam i dont want to cut one and remoled it) would make it a bit more toughter i guess
I did think would need less more bass because the Arm is at the bottom (far away from the Bass straings) in relation Guess this is a more of a problem on a floating bridge than a screwed in one

your springs don't particularly care about the arm because that's not the pivot point. the pivot point is either the 6 screws (vintage strat style vibrato) or the two posts. the springs are to counteract the pull from the strings

im not sure on that.. going to think a bit ..
Three Types .. the Cheap Screwed in one, Floating Post one .. and the Flydd Rose (because it goes forward and backwards) We are tilting at the force of the springs so for the floating/Screwed down one, i would have to use the force of the total of the springs pulling but we dont need to go all the way to ZERO force on the trem.

yo be honest i have tried light springs and currently run 4 black springs. sustain increased with more tension. tone became more clear i guess you could say. whammy bar has more control and less sensitive which im heavy handed. currently have ernie ball 11's wanna try ernie ball baritone 13's might even try High E 13 B 18 G 30 D 44 A 56 Low E 72
before you say wow those are big strings well im heavy handed and have big fingers like stevie ray though hands and wrist are to stout to be that fast or awesome.

why? IMHO tension is mostly uniform distributed across strings. Also likeliness of bends are the same across bass, middle, treble strings.
