frets: When you say "Bridge sees 500K, neck sees 250K", that is incorrect, technically, although we all know what you meant. With 2 500K pots connected in parallel, the bridge actually "sees" 250K. With the 2 pots plus the 220K resistor, the neck "sees" 117K (rounding down the decimal). Also, when you say the 220K resistor is "on the switch", it is wired to the switch, sure, but it is permanently connected between the neck pickup "hot" and ground; "on the switch" suggests it is being switched in some fashion. EDIT: After further review, I'm also not following the wiring on the 4-way switch. Neck "Hot" is connected to the upper right lug of the switch, so that must be the common lug (since the upper left-hand lug isn't connected to anything). Bridge "Hot" is permanently connected to output, if we call those lugs "#1" and "2" where the bridge is connected. Then, Positions 1 and 2 would both be N + B. There would be no series connection at position 3 because both ends of the neck pickup are grounded at #3 (i.e., you can't have a series connection (in phase) without lifting one of the 2 grounds, and here both pickups' green wires are permanently grounded). You would have bridge alone at both positions 3 and 4. Also, your caption says "4-way switch" but your text description says "5-way". And, as per our discussion of tone pots in a recent thread, it seems as if the bridge pickup will also "see" that 220K resistor when the 2 pickups are combined. So, am I missing something here? Otherwise, I don't see how this wiring would have worked for your customer. Also, if all he wants is the positions of the 4-way reversed, the wiring doesn't have to change, just rotate the switch 180°

Newey😁, Oops! I deleted the post because I don’t want anyone on the internet getting it. I have the switch backwards which is funny onto itself given it’s supposed to be reversed.
The 220k resistor I was always taught did the A250k thing on the neck but not the Bridge. I’m glad to know that is incorrect.
I’ll be back with it fixed.
Everybody, please forgive me.
