Ok, so I had this Epiphone Les Paul 57' reissue with a P-90, or P-100 i think it was called, anyway the guitar got smashed and i tore the pickup off. I'm planning on sticking it on the bridge position on an old Les Paul copy I have. I started to do this about six months ago, had everything wired but the P-100 never worked.. I heard this forum was really helpful so here's the pics of the P-100 The other pickup is just a standard humbucker I think with a silver coiled wire, then insulated black, green, white and red wires.. If anyone could help me by posting cheap switches and volume/tone pots, output jacks and wires. Just basically everything I will need apart from the pickups and the guitar body ... I would be very grateful.. Thanks, ps if the websites could be British for the pots etc.

Welcome a'board. Do you have a digital multimeter? If not, get one. Working on wiring without one is akin to driving with your eyes closed. You'll probably end up somewhere....... Measure the coil(s) resistance of the P-Whatever pickup. In essence, measure the resistance from each wire to every other wire coming from it. I hope that this is not a literal statement. From the pics, it looks like it esploded or sumpthin'. Maybe it's blowed up and GeFooey. By measuring it we will determine whether it can be reused or if it should just be stuck on the side of your 'fridge as a refrigerator magnet to remind one not to "tear off" pickups. While you're at the measuring effort, measure the other pickup as well (all wires to all other wires). This will tell you which colo(u)red leads go to which coil, and possibly who made the pickup. Write this information in your project log book. You'll need it in the future. There will be a test (and homework). As far as places to get guitar stuff, in our Reference Thread we have the THE LINKS PAGE.
