Hi to all on the forum! I was wondering if someone could please help with the following problem? I have an old strat compatible which is wired in the following way using a rather non-standard 5way YKE switch: This is the switch: The contacts are numbered 1-7 from left to right when orientated as in the pic above. Once I've removed the old pickups, how would I wire the two new humbuckers into the circuit shown above so that the 5way switch basically acts as a 3-way? (i.e pos.1= bridge, pos.3=both, pos.5=neck) thanks J

I don't know exactly what the switch does, but the mechanism looks similar to the one used in the Schaller Megaswitches sold by StewMac.These are the new versions, the older versions looked just like the one that you posted. I have several and like the mechanical feel and robustness. If you list the pickup combinations, I could tell if this was one of these. If you look at the instructions for the MegaSwitches, you'll see the different configurations that they can do, but you must list the combinations realized to be sure. I would suspect that you might have a MegaSwitch "E".
