tedfixxIf one connects two tone caps this way, and uses a SP3T (SPDT Center-OFF) switch, one gets 3 cap values. Any cap values can be used, the center (series) position value will be 1/[1/C1 + 1/C2] or C1 * C2C1 + C2

FWIW, I use Chris' switch in my strat, using one each of .082uF and .056uF, with the resulting "free" .033uF in the middle - I kinda like it! You can listen to a recording of the tone change here (click on Woman Tone in the new window that should open). The recording is the switch going from { .033uF to .056uF to .082uF to .056uF to .033uF }. Cheers, D2o

did a simlar way but 1P2T Toggel (On-Off-On)
from the Tone to a switch with 22nF to Earth One side of the Switch 11nF and the other side 25nF
making it a (on-off-on) to a (47nF,22nF,33nF) what seems to be the most comment ones for tone
yes dont do a 11nF so i got a HIGH 10nF as i could i figured it dosnt have to be PERFECT as i cant see guitar makers getting a Cap with 47nF dead on the nose

Do they all wire together with center lug. or do they all go to a common ground and sorry if this is a stupid question. Any help would be appreciated.

zar-
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
The caps are shown in ChrisK's diagram above as little circles. One end of each cap connects to the outermost lugs of the switch. The other end of both caps connect together at the center switch lug.
