Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
We haven't heard from endowug in a year now, so I doubt he'll be by to help with your install of this design. While the polarity should be OK because you're using the same pickups, one of JohnH's last notes on his design was that:
It doesn't look like that question was ever definitively answered by endowug, so John is rightly advising some easy testing first to be sure. It's always easier to check first than to rewire afterwards!

Hi Newey,
after quite some time I was curious enough to have a peek into this thread once more just to notice that someone needed a bit of info from me, and I'm very sorry for not having responded before. As concerns the wiring diagram, I followed exactly John's second diagram, and the middle PU's polarity was exactly as John expected it to be. I don't know if that info helps, if not, ask again, and I promise not to wait another year to answer.

Welcome back! Now you come back, and we haven't heard from rafael in a month! But good info to know nonetheless, it is as we suspected it would be, but it's always better to have confirmation rather than guessing.
So, how is the guitar working out for you?

The guitar works really well, the possible pickup combinations can be used in all kinds of music, and as I'm playing in a cover band this is important for me. The blower switch is great, too, because for smaller gigs I often use my Cornford Roadhouse 30, which is only a one-channel amp, so I have to use the volume of my guitar quite often to control the gain of the amp. Usually I set the volume knob to a decent clean or crunch sound and for soloing I use the blower switch - works great! Unfortunately, there's always room for improvement. One day in February I took my pimped Ibby and my Cornford and drove to a shop that has Suhr guitars. I tested the Guthrie Govan Signature model for almost 2 hours, always swapping guitars back and forth, and what can I say - of course we all know that the same pickups sound differently in different guitars, but in this case the difference was so remarkable that it's worth the 4000 Euro the Suhr is going to cost me when I pick it up next week!

50103366-
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
Yes. But we'll need to know exactly how you have it wired now, including wire colors for the type of pickup in question. A diagram is probably your best bet to convey this info. Are you using the Suhr Guthrie Govan wiring, which is the subject of this thread?

Hello chief Thank you fpr the warm welcome iam indeed following the diagram provided in this thread .. The pickups also has 4 wires and one ground as i tried to split the coils only the inner ones remain active i was looking into having the outer ones remain active my wiring is the same as the diagram minus the blower switch thank you for your quick response cheers - mike (50103366)

Do you mean that, in positions 2,3 and 4 (which are the ones in which coils are split in this scheme), you always have the inner coils?
Only at position 2 (Bridge inner coil + middle) is any inner coil used, so if you're getting more than that, there's a wiring problem somewhere. You should be getting the outer coils in positions 3 and 4.
