tvrobot- I don't know if you have reviewed this but my thread on the switch logic of the TSs discusses possible uses with a SC pickup. I have a diagram for a P-90 but it requires a permanent alteration of the TS. guitarnuts2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=modules&action=display&thread=5244Of course, you could install the TSs and just leave them unwired until/unless you switch the pups out. You can buy a plate to allow a Strat SC to be mounted diagonally in a HB slot, I pictured one in the thread.

So I notice JFrank and ChristoMephisto discussing the possibility of wiring 2 single coils to one T-Shot. That sounds possible and since the T-Shot would be cut up anyway I wouldn't have to worry about the pups not fitting in the ring. Just to confirm can it be done? This would also solve my "buying an extra T-Shot every time I buy a pup" dilemma as I would probably just buy 4 single coils as opposed to 2 single coils for Module 2, thus solving the issue of what to do with the unused T-Shots. But anyway, can it be done?

well, looking back at that thread, I started wondering about it again too. the issue of HBs having 2 mounting holes may be remedied by some sort of plates attaching the 2 SCs together and those plates having 2 holes like a HB, and it would have to be ones like Cynical1 shows, those Kent Armstrongs. but, still, do they fit? we dont know.
wait, are you just going to use the circuit from the Tshot? I dont get the cutting it up part.

A few questions come to mind, though- - What are the Triple Shots going to be doing with one single coil pickup?
- Once you cut one up as shown in your picture, how is the remaining part of the TS going to be mounted, with respect to the single coil?
- Assuming you can fit two SCs in and that you're using the TS on two SCs, how is that relevant to your design here, which has two channels (and presumably wants the SCs to be separated a bit)?
I mean, if you put two SCs together, and wire them for series/parallel with the triple shot, isn't it going to be just like a noisy HB, (unless one of the 2 is RWRP, in which case it is a HB for all practical purposes)?

Nothing. I would just be a tad too lazy to wire the sub connectors to both the pups, T-shots, and then the rest of the electronics.
I was thinking about having them at an angle such that I could have a total of 4 T-Shots to the left of the pups.
Now I'm thinking I would simply want 2 humbuckers for Module 1 and 4 single coils for Module 2 (2 single coils to a T-Shot).
So let's say I have 2 SC's. Each with a white, black, and bare (ground) wire. Would I wire both bare wires to the ground pad on the T-Shot?

The bare wire is a shield. I would just wire it to ground, and avoid wiring it to the TS entirely as that's in your signal chain. But in the greater scheme of things, it probably doesn't matter where you wire it so long as it goes to ground somewhere.
With all the coils you will have in this beast, noise may be an issue, so don't miss an opportunity to minimize possible noise problems. Keeping the shield wire and signal wire separated until the ultimate grounding point is one of those "best practices", it may make no difference- but it might.

Alrighty then, so I suppose the T-Shot issue is settled.
[EDIT2]Changed my mind about the Varitone switch. Going to start drawing up the diagrams for the modules finally.[EDIT2]
