I'm rewiring my travel guitar, and referenced this diagram of the original Esquire wiring, using the std Fender 3-way switch. (My project is different, I just wanted to check component values.) Since we sometimes get Esquire wiring questions, I thought I'd include it here for reference. This is courtesy of Jurgens at the TDPRI forums: Note that the readily-found 0.047µf cap is equivalent (within std tolerances) to the stated value of 0.050µf Sorry for the size issues, photobucket isn't cooperating lately If you can't read it, this gives: 1) "Fixed Bassy Tone" (Leo's infamous "Jazz" setting) 2) With std Vol and Tone controls 3) Volume control only, no tone control (a brighter sound)
