I have an experimental bass I'm building that will be using an EMG Select-P bass pickup and a Bartolini J bass pickup. I was playing out using this bass with a single volume control and the Select(single coil). I like the sound, and I usually set my tone on my amp, and leave it. I'm adding the Bart(humbucker), and want to retain the single knob setup. I've ordered a "stacked" potentiometer and want to wire it so that half of the concentric pot controls the volume of the Select pickup and the other half controls the Bart. Anybody have ideas about how I should wire the pickups and pot? -baggman

You are using concentric pots, and the top pot is the vol pot for one pickup, and the bottom one the vol pot for the other. What else is there to wire? Chesh

???I've seen wiring diagrams using the concentric pot for a vol./tone control but never a vol./vol. before. I was wondering if the outputs from the two pot sections should be joined between the solder lugs of the pot, or at the output jack. Also, the two pickups I'm using are some what different(Select single coil/Bartolini double coil). I ordered the concentric pot that has a 250k/500k configuration. Should the Bartolini go through the 500k side of the pot , while the Select goes through the 250k side? Or does it matter? Oh yeah, could I use a treble bleed cap on the side of the pot that carries the signal from the single coil Select. Thanks,Rob
