(The No-caster by Eric Mecum) I'd be curious about its sustain, I heard that neck plays a more imprtant role, but I know heel joint is vital as well.

You mean aside from being a pretty good visual metaphor for what's left of Fender's Strat design after all the proposed changes? It's leftovers, and it's art. The artist/luthier's website has been gone since some time in 2014 and while the WBM has a backup, which contains summaries of other guitar builds (including the NO-caster's counterpart: the 4 Day Plywood guitar), it unfortunately has none of the pictures. However, there are pictures of the 4 Day Plywood guitar and a rear view of the NO-caster in an article from an Italian music magazine (as well as a sneaky link to that Stereo Strat). I'd be curious about its sustain, I heard that neck plays a more important role, but I know heel joint is vital as well. I'm also interested in what having the pickups suspended via a bicycle innertube does to the sustain as captured by the pickup. Apparently (and presumably in Fender-ese), the innertubes "create a vibrato effect", though it is unclear whether that is mainly managed via manual manipulation.

(The No-caster by Eric Mecum) Ah, I see that you found Alan Gittler's rough-draft prototype.
