Well, since this is the coffee shop I figured why not ask what everybodys favorite brand/type of Java is. Up here the in northwest its Starbucks country. But, of course always the noncomformist, irrevererant, sacreligious scum that I am.....( and , no I STILL havent taken up the drums) I drink Millstone. Preferable the caramel truffle. And, with lots of cream and 2 sugars, please. Well, really I only drink coffee for the drugs, but occasionally I like the flavor too. I cant drink a cup of coffee without having a cigarette, so anymore I just hafta drink it at home. Oh, Washington state recently became one of the no smoking states, ie ya cant smoke in restaurants, bars, taverns, bowling alleys, etc. Didnt mean to digress, just venting. Crap, now I need a cigarette. ;D Toldya I cant have coffee without one. Camel Ultra Lights. Oh, gotta match? Bob

Like I tell my friends that put all that stuff in coffee, you really don't drink coffee if you drink it any way but BLACK! Real men (cowboys) drink thick, black coffee.
I have been drinking Eight O'Clock Columbian coffee for years and have tried so many others. The only one I can think that is much better is Jamaican Blue Mt. But it costs around 30 dollars a pound. Try the Eight O'Clock, you'll like it. Paul ;D

Dunkin' Donuts French Vanilla with a little milk. Unless you mean "coffee DRINK", in which case "Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla Latte Venti with skim milk & 2 Splendas, please". ;-)

Eight O'Clock Columbian - best deal out there! -Whole Beans - Grind 'em just as you use 'em - get a coffe press - Bodum or other brand - boil the water then let it sit a couple minutes BEFORE you pour it over the ground beans so it doesn't make the coffee bitter. - let it sit for 3 or 4 minutes - give it a little stir then press down the plunger - put your milk in the cup first and pour in your coffee - AAAAHHHHHHHH!

When it's at Sam's club...Caribou Columbian or Daybreak (only time I can afford it). If not Caribou, it's regular 8 o'clock (red bag). We buy coffee two bags at a time, one bean, and one ground at the store. black or just cream for me. Can't stand Starbucks....most of their beans are over-roasted.

Tim Horton's double-double or Jacobs when I can find some or order it in. Other than that, I make at least two pots of whatever brand the supermarket is selling a day LoL.

found a new game in town.
i always thought duncan donuts' coffee was too wimpy.
but their "turbo" (they add a shot of espresso) seems to have just the right 'octane rating'.

hmm.. since I'm an Indonesian locale, I should suggest you Lampung coffee. (FYI, Lampung is a province)
Actually it's some Arabica derivative. Unique smell, but not THAT strong.

I agree with Jester700 on the brand. I stopped at a Dunkin Donuts in Tampa FL when I was there visiting. We don't have Dunkin Donuts around here that I know of and I wasn't expecting much. I would have figured a store would need modern art in earthtones with cherry furniture with ebony trim to have good coffee. I got a regular cup of coffee with cream and thought I had found heaven in a styrofoam cup. I've checked them out on the internet and fount they've won awards. It turns out that all the hype about sealing coffee in a vaccuum or waiting till just before you brew it to grind it is wishful thinking that doesn't hold water. The experts have found that it must be ground and brewed quickly after roasting. The beans begin to lose flavor quickly after roasting and sealing them up doesn't help. The folks at D. D. knew that and they brew it into a syrup right after roasting the beans. The syrup does keep the flavor. That's what they ship to their stores. If I could get my hands on that syrup stuff I'd throw out my drip maker yesterday.

I'm with jeepers59 - Tim Hortons.
A bit of background for those who don't know about "Timmy's" (as it is mainly a Canadian franchise of about 1000 stores nationwide - although I believe it has made successful inroads to the US recently).
It was started in the mid 60's by NHLer Tim something ;-) , and was taken over by his business partner Ron Joyce after Tim Horton's untimely death by car accident in the mid 70's.
By the mid 1990's Mr. Joyce sold Tim Horton's to Wendy's and Wendy's just had an IPO of Tim Hortons last year.
Oh, and of course they make good coffee!
XL regular for me.
Dan

I'll drink whatever happens to be made by someone else. Preferably someone I don't know. Bonus points if it's free! Like lobby coffee. I can't say much for taste, overall. But if you wanna talk -variety...-

-I like either Maxwell House Slow Roast or Folger's Gourmet Supreme for regular store coffee. 8 O'clock is pretty good too. No sugar, cream, or flavorings. Kind of wierd. I love caramel lattes and cappucinos, but for regular coffee it has to be black. Starbucks and Seattle's Best brands are just too pricey and overrated. I've had all of the unflavored grinds with them, and still prefer the first two I listed. But a triple expresso every now and then sure gets you going!
