Hi John, there is really no way to implement the phase switch into the UUSS. I came up with something new but have troubles with the Superswitch. I would like to wire it like: 1) Neck 2) Neck // Bridge 3) Middle 4) Neck + Bridge (series) 5) Bridge Then there is an On-On-On switch for switching the middle PU either in series or parallel or in "split" with the rest. I already have something similar in one of my Strats but I used a standard switch wired like the Tele-5-Way-Switch with a cap in series. I would like to add a global phase switch turning the phases of the Superswitch that there is no need to turn the phase of the middle PU that is switched in. Pos. 3 isn't a must but it's easy to wire the middle PU for that cause it is always connected to ground. Here's what I got so far in my Strat (pots are drawn for lefty Strat for a friend). Still looking for a solution with a Superswitch that switches between neck and bridge PUs.. Maybe you got some inspiring inputs for me?

This seems like it will be interesting, but could we do a couple of house-keeping things before starting:
This will be a new design, so please start a new thread in the general wiring section. This thread is in the schematics section which is for discussion of specific finished designs, ie in this case, the one at the start of this thread by Cheshire Cat.
The notation we use here is + for parallel and x for series. Please can we stick to that since we are too old to change.

Hi John, there is really no way to implement the phase switch into the UUSS. Actually . . . you can! (I've been away far too long . . .)

Here is the most recent version of the UUSS, with the addition of a phase inverter and a 3-way splitter. The one toggle or slider for the phase inverter is universal. No matter where you are in the schematic, or what pickups you've selected, it inverts, assuming that you have more than one pickup selected. The slider for the 3-way splitter does a full split of all the pickups in three modes: SSS, SSH, and HSH (assuming humbuckers in the N and B positions). Instead of having to mess with two individual toggles, or P/P pots, I figured just make it simple and intuitive. What are the three most common pickup configurations for three pickups? To wit: SSS, SSH, and HSH. The 3-way slider works like a two way slider. All the way up and you get full split. All the way down and you get full coils. You don't have to think about it. Just do it. Set in the middle, and you have standard Fat Strat config. The one config I rarely ever see is HSS, so, no real point in including it. There's more on the way, but that is a pretty good update of where we are at. I am also sorry I wasn't here to see the young man from before try out the schematic and have success with it. I'd love to get more input from him. The last time he signed in was in '13. lol! Considering how long I've been gone, there's hope.

Btw, I'm building a guitar for my daughter's school art show. It will be raffled or auctioned off at the fundraiser. I'm going to try out some of these and other guitar mods when I do it. I'll keep you posted!
