Namely stained glass folks, apparently. And it looks like they get theirs cheaper.
This is just the first reasonable looking google result, haven't done a whole lot of shopping yet.
Now, the biggest width of the tape is 1/2", which might be tedious, but you get 108 feet for only 3 x the price of about 7 foot from Stewmac! They have 12"x12" sheets that look reasonable, though. Good for pickguards and bathtub routes.
Not quite as cheap as "Heavy Duty" Aluminum foil from Walmart.
We don't know if this stuff is conductive adhesive. It's made to be soldered to, though. I got the hint from a guy at DIYStompboxes who is making DIY vero (strip) board using this stuff and perfboard.
I wasn't sure where to put this, so if it needs to be moved...
It's fine here. If it has the word "solder" in it, this is the place.
We need a guinea pig here to buy some to see if the adhesive is conductive. The StewMac stuff is pricey, but the conductive adhesive is the way to go, I'll gladly pay more for that as it's so much easier to work with. Makes for a neat and tidy job as well.
BTW, for those who haven't worked with the copper tape before, I scream at you:
The edges of this stuff will slice and dice your fingers in a heartbeat. You'll notice the red blood splooshes in your cavity, or on your guitar finish, somewhat before you begin to feel the pain . . .

let me second the wearing gloves, or being extra carefull (i hate gloves) first cavity i ever shielded didn't see all the tiny cuts on my fingers until i was cuttting up jalepenos and limes for guacamole.....
Using a standard #2 pencil, with an eraser, eliminates all of the painful mishaps in installing the shielding tape. It also allows you to get a good edge and corner bond by pressing it in with the eraser. Granted, it doesn't do much for the eraser...
