This is the main switching of a system to control three humbuckers:
Each pickup gets a three position switch. As shown, these would be dpdt on/on/on switches, to do off, single and humbucker.
There is also another two-position switch to put the bridge pickup in series with whichever of N and/or M are selected. When the bridge series switch is engaged, it forces the bridge on, to reduce dead settings if the bridge 3-position switch is off. By this means, all single and parallel options are available, plus some good series sounds, without the complication of trying to get all series options. Note that in series mode, at least one of N or M must be engaged. In all, 42 different sound settings are available, in theory.
The design assumes that all the pickups are identical in terms of coil direction and polarity.
By a happy chance (thanks newey), the 3-position pickup switches can also work as on/off/on, with the same wiring, provided an extra jumper wire is added to each one from top right to lower right lugs. In this case, the off setting is the centre position, series/off/single
The design is discussed further here: guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/7115/triple-emg-select-humbuckers
cheers John
